MAIN (CMLMAIN.EXE) - This is the primary CML program. It is used to create new records, edit old records, merge scratch files, scan the file, list records, print labels, manage date fields and manage amount fields. BMERGE (CMLBATMRG.COM) - This is a command proceedure to run the merge program in the batch processor. This leaves the operator's terminal free. FCREATE (CMLCREATE.COM) - This is a command proceedure that creates a new customer mailing list main file and initializes the file, using the init program. INIT (CMLINIT.EXE) - This program simply initializes the header record of a new file. DO NOT run it on an older file! MERGE (CMLMERGE.EXE) - This program, sometimes called by the main program, is used to merge scratch files to the main customer mailing list. MOVE (CMLMOVE.EXE) - This program copies the records from one CMLMASTER file (or customer mailing list) to another. SEQUENCE (CMLORDER.EXE) - This program is used to establish the deliverary order for addresses within a carrier route. (NOT INCLUDED WITH DECUS RELEASE) TYPELOG (CMLTYPLOG.COM) - This command proceedure lists out merge log files. Other commands of the CML system: COM - Go to the commercial mailing list area. DLOG - Give a directory listing of all merge logs. LABEL - Print out labels at the line printer. LISTS - Show the list of report files in this area that have an extension of .LIS. MASTER - Show the current status of the customer mailing list in this area. OLD - Go to the All Valley mailing list area PASS - Set new password. (The system will prompt you for the old one first, then for the new one [twice to verify].) PLIS - Purge all listing files. PLOG - Purge all log files. PRIMARY - Go to the primary mailing list area. PRINT - Print out the report file at the line printer. SBATCH - Show the batch processor queue. SCRATCH - Show the list of scratch files in this area. SQUE - Show the printer queue. XLABEL - Print out labels at the line printer, deleting the label file when done. XLIS - Delete all listing files. XLOG - Delete all log files. XPRINT - Print out at the line printer, deleting the listing file when done. NOTE: Most programs and commands can be invoked using only the first four letters of the program name or command.
