[nu.games] This directory contains a game controlling environment. Used as a captive login.com this works out pretty well. This whole thing started when V4 came along and I wanted to play with the SMG routines. I wrote the screen driver and gave it to a student to implement the rest. Hence, the smg stuff isn't commented and the rest is mediocre code. Hopefully I'll get a chance to clean it up for the next tape. Most of the included games came off the '84 Anaheim tape. All game images have an associated com file that does the necessary stuff to run the image. The com filename must be the same as the one you add to the menu. To add a game to the menu just edit games2.dat and add it. The system checks to see how many people are on the system and refuses access if a certain threshold is exceeded. A kludgy maintenance routine can be accessed by typing ^P [sic] instead of selecting a game from the menu. The current password is fred. You can change the password and the user count threshold in this routine. You can give this a try by adding QUEST located elsewhere in this submission. You'll see that you can move around the menu using the arrow keys. When you do the current choice is highlighted in bold video. I tried to get this to work with inverse instead of bold but it resulted in some bizzare behavior. If anyone gets it to work please give me a call. 6-Dec-85 Rand Hall
