Default key-bindings for VMS version of GNU emacs

^X^F		Read a file.  Prompts for filename.  Type <SPACE> for
		filename completion.
^X^R		Read a file in read only mode.
^X^Q		Toggle read-only mode.
^X^S		Save file.
^X^W		Write current buffer in a file, prompting for filename.
^Xi		Insert contents of a file in current buffer.
^X^C		Prompt for saving all modified files and exit emacs.
^X4^F		Split window and read file.
^X4b		Split window and switch to buffer.

<ESC>x		Prompt for and execute extended command.  Type <SPACE>
		to get a list of possible commands completions.

^X(		Start defining keyboard macro.
^X)		Stop defining keyboard macro.
^Xe		Invoke keyboard macro.
^Xq		Show definition of keyboard macro.
^Z		Invoke keyboard macro.

^S		Incremental search forward.  Terminate with <CR>.
^R		Incrememtal search backward. Terminate with <CR>.
<ESC>%		Query replace.

^G		Quit current action.

^H		Provide help.

^Q		Next character is to be inserted in text. (Useful for
    		inserting control characters.)

^_		Undo last command.

^@		(or ^2) Set mark.
^X^X		Exchange point and mark.

^A		Beginning of line.
^E		End of line.
^N		Next line.
^P		Previous line.
^B		Backward character.
^F		Forward character.
<ESC>F		Forward word.
<ESC>B		Backward word.
^V		Scroll forward.
<ESC>v		Scroll reverse.
^X<		Scroll left.
^X>		Scroll right.
^O		Open a line.
<ESC>^O		Split current line.

^D		Delete character.
<DEL>		Delete backward character.
<ESC>D		Delete word.
<ESC><DEL>	Delete word backwards.
<ESC><		Beginning of buffer.
<ESC>>		End of buffer.
^K		Delete from cursor to end of line.
^W		Delete from mark to cursor.
^Y		Yank deleted text back.

<ESC>$		Send command to subprocess.

^Xb		Switch to another buffer.
^Xk		Kill buffer.
^X^B		Display list of all buffers.

^X^U		Convert text between mark and cursor to uppercase.
^X^L		Convert text between mark and cursor to lowercase.
<ESC>u		Convert next word to uppercase.
<ESC>l		Convert next word to lowercase.
<ESC>c		Capitalize next word.

^X2		Split window vertically.
^X5		Split window horizontally.
^Xo		Go to other window.
^X1		Make current window the only one on screen.
^X0		Delete window.
^X^		Enlarge window.
^X}		Enlarge window horizontally.
^X{		Shrink window horizontally.

^L		Move current line to center of window.  Redraws display.

Arrows: The obvious definitions: backward-char, next-line, forward-char,
                                             previous-line.

Editing Keys:
  Find                  Forward search.
  Insert Here           Open a line.
  Remove                Kill region.
  Select                Set mark.
  Prev Screen           Reverse scroll.
  Next Screen           Forward scroll.

Top row keys:
  F6			Edit and send current line as command to subprocess.
  F11                   Prefix for ESC commands.  Cannot be used to
			terminate incremental searches.
  BS			Beginning of line.
  Help                  Follow it by a key to get help on that key.
  Do			Send a command to subprocess.
