I have been doing 8mm test for a while and talking with EXABYTE about
the product.  I have been told that the 8mm should last a minimum of
20 years and probably much longer.

Can you store a RA-90 on one TK-**?  And even if you could, how long would 
it take it do it.  8mm blows away the TK's in not only storage, but also
in the transfer speed.  Plus the tapes are much easier to buy (check your
local K-Mart, video store, or anywhere video tapes are sold).

BTW, for those people wondering about the 8mm compatiblity problem, I will
be making a presentation at FALL DECUS in Anaheim on the results of 
compatibility tests and the news will be good!!  Benchmarks will also
be reported.
