Once in input mode anything you type is sent to input stream of the terminal being WATCHED, except for CTRL-\ which turns off the INPUT mode. 2) CTRL-Z: Exits WATCH (except when in INPUT mode). B) You can WATCH VTxxx terminals C) You can WATCH LTxxx terminals D) You can WATCH pseudo terminals (the OBSERVE program cannot watch pseudo terminal or be run from within a pseudo terminal) E) You cannot WATCH RTxx terminals, but you CAN run WATCH from a RTxx terminal F) You CAN WATCH NTYx terminals (NTYx terminals are network logins on machines running WIN/TCP). Has anyone tried other network terminals from other TCP/IP packages like FUSION, Multinet, CMU, etc.? Please post your experiences. Does anyone have any idea on how to get WATCH to work so you WATCH RTxx terminals? It would be very helpful to have the program do such. WATCH can be a very dangerous program, but it can also be a tremendous training/teaching aid for system managers/operators who are getting phone calls from people who "can't get that *&^$% machine to work right". And with the number of Networked system these days, it would be nice to have WATCH work with all terminal types. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | M.
