A few months ago, there was a discussion in comp.os.vms about the
distribution of the sources for programs that accompanied articles
published in _VAX Professional_ magazine.

Starting with the current (new) issue (August 1992), all program
sources for _VAX Professional_ articles will be available from a
special file server here at WKU.

For more information about the _VAX Professional_ file server, send
the command HELP in the *body* of a mail message to
VAX-PRO@WKUVX1.BITNET.

Note: there is no charge for these files, and you do not have to have
a subscription to _VAX Professional_ to receive the files.  However,
the articles are frequently the only documentation for the source
listings, so a subscription to the magazine would be helpful.

The VAX-PRO file server is a free service of Western Kentucky
University and Professional Press.  As many of you know, my only
affiliation with Professional Press is as a regular author. However, I
saw a need for wider distribution of the programs and the _VAX
Professional_ editor agreed, hence the server.  We hope you find it
useful.  If you'd like to contact Professional Press regarding the
