        There is a problem with the News 6.1 beta3 newsbuild.com.  There is
a new routine called cache_hash that is written in macro.  In newsbuild.com,
it tries to use the /opt qualifier!  Here is the diffs to correct this problem.
Last time I checked I didn't think macro was subject to optimization.
