I have ported GNU grep (and egrep), GNU fgrep, and GNU sed.  All can
be found, along with GNU compress, via anonymous ftp from ftp.spc.edu.

GNU awk has been ported by Pat Rankin; you can get it from
RML2.SRI.COM and HAMLET.CALTECH.EDU.

The utilities I've ported are also available via e-mail by sending
one or more of the following commands in the body of a mail message
to FILESERV@WKUVX1.BITNET:

SEND COMPRESS
SEND GREP
SEND FGREP
SEND SED
