There's a jumper on the RRD42 to select the default block size. On a VMS system, the jumper is in the 512-byte/block position. To use the RRD42 on a non-VMS system (such as a PC), the jumper should be set to 2048 bytes/block. I believe that removing the jumper will do this. Perry Donham VMS Training
