<<< NOTED::DISK$NOTES7:[NOTES$LIBRARY_7OF4]HACKERS.NOTE;1 >>> -< ** Hackers ** >- ================================================================================ Note 751.20 Need to force a process dump 20 of 20 CUJO::SAMPSON 9 lines 30-MAY-1996 21:48 -< TBK$SHOW_TRACEBACK? >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is an undocumented routine TBK$SHOW_TRACEBACK, resolved by linking against the SYS$SHARE:TRACE.EXE shareable image (at least on OpenVMS Alpha V7.0), which can be used in conjunction with LIB$GET_CURR_INVO_CONTEXT (see the VMS source listings and LIB RTL doc for details :-). You can use it to generate a traceback without signalling any exception. You can specify your own action routine (which defaults to LIB$PUT_OUTPUT) to display (and/or parse, or whatever) each line of traceback output.
