Sine.. Oh V5.4 I think, the locking changed. The Id table maxes at 65535, when you need more IDs we use Lock expansion pages ( 2 pages). These are pointed to by an entry, starting at index zero and give you 255 more lock IDs. If you have IDTBLSIZ set high enough these pages are allocated at boot time or will be allocated on the fly... So a LOCKID looks like this |<--------- unique sequnce number XX XX XXXX | |<---- index into IDTABLE |<- when nonzero index into expansion page I can't say about the crash, would need to see the dump, but if you've IPMTed it I'll get to see it :) Kevin
