NT Affinity Investigations Digital Confidential Current Projects NT/Win95/WFWG/OpenVMS I14Y Single Sign-On Registry on OpenVMS Performance Monitoring from NT Named Pipes (Authenticated RPC) Completed Projects NT Affinity Demo Single Signon Project Leader: Colin Blake Team Members: Rick Barry, Colin Blake, Jeremy Hitt, Mike Kimmel LOP Stage: Function Specification This project seeks to provide single signon support within OpenVMS. Specifically: Ability to be authenticated by LANmanager. That is, use your LANmanager password on OpenVMS and have the password change mechanisms update the LAN password. Ability to signon on once and be authenticated into additional security domains (e.g., DCE or Kerberos) automatically. Provide system services for performing authentication and password change operations. The investigation is complete and the team is working on a functional specification. Investigation Report: PostScript, HTML Draft Functional Specification: PostScript NT Registry Project Leader: Christopher Kaler Team Members: Elie Cohen, Christopher Kaler, Bill Stetson LOP Stage: Detailed Design This investigation is looking at providing an NT registry on OpenVMS which is synchronized cluster-wide and which is highly available. The investigation is complete and the team is working on a functional and design specifications. Investigation Report: PostScript, HTML Functional Specification: PostScript - Draft NT/Win95/WFWG/OpenVMS I14Y This is an on-going investigation/project that involves the entire NT affinity team and hopefully the entire OpenVMS organization. The goal is to establish an environment similar to customers so that we can feel the pain before our customers do. NT Affinity Demo Investigation/Project Leader: Carl Cramer LOP Stage: Completed This investigation is looking at providing demonstrations of NT Affinity. NT Performance Monitor Project Leader: Keith Griffin LOP Stage: Function Specification This is self-containted project which falls under the Registry umbrella. The project seeks to build a performance monitoring component (basically infrastructure) so that OpenVMS can be the target of NT performance monitoring quieries (the NT tool uses the remote registiries to gather data). This is basic monitoring tool. The investigation report has been generated and the work is currently being functionally specified. Investigation Report: PostScript Named Pipes (Authenticated RPC) Project Leader: Rick LeVine LOP Stage: Function Specification This project seeks to provide authenticated RPC with NT by supporting the named pipe transport underneath DCE RPC. The investigation report has been generated and the work is currently being functionally specified. Investigation Report: PostScript Last update 12/15/95, cgk
