    Boy, does that hit the nail on the head .. other examples include PCBU
    buying disk drives from external whoever is cheaper sources (FR-#'s)
    and then the field and Customers are left scrambling to position and
    understand why the Customer cannot use his 15-20 FR 2GB drives that he
    bought from Digital a few months ago in his newly acquired NT Cluster 
    (external RAID adapters only support SW disks from StorageWorks).
    
    Note - this is an actual situation at local level ..It ain't a pretty
    picture ..
    
    FWIW, it appears that there is renewed interest at senior mgmt levels
    on delivering solutions as opposed to pt. products, so if they are
    serious about this, then resolving these stove pipe tree hugging issues
    needs to be resolved asap.
