Which version of everything have you here? (VMS, VAXC, TCP/IP and GopherD) Start over and...: Gopher to psulias.psu.edu and look for VMS Gopher Client and Server under Libraries computing and then save done all the code files in the PSU/LCS VMS Gopher Server (documents & source)/ directory, pull down everything, edit the descript.mms file as you need and compile it. (If you haven't got MMS then you'll have to write a com file to do it.) This server is version 1.2 beta 4. Modified to VMS. Works cool with Multinet, Wollongong, even UCX! Its secure.... (*don't* run the 0.6 version unless you want to be hacked Big Time) there is a mailing list for this porting effort: VMSGopher-L@trln.lib.unc.edu joing by sending SUBSCRIBE to VMSGopher-L-Request@trln.lib.unc.edu which is where the VMS action is right now (Gopher, Gopher+, WAIS, Xmosaic etc), when VMS catch up it will be "back to normal broadcasting schedules. And appologies if you are on that this already and bothered to read this far.
