Matt Madison's idle terminal monitor, WATCHER, has just been updated
to v2.8.  WATCHER v2.8 runs on both OpenVMS VAX *and* OpenVMS AXP.

To get the new version of WATCHER via e-mail, send the following
commands in the body of a mail message to FILESERV@WKUVX1.BITNET:

SEND WATCHER
SEND WATCHER_SRC                !If you want the BLISS sources
SEND FILESERV_TOOLS             !If you need UNZIP and MFTU

You can get them via anonymous ftp from ftp.spc.edu in

WATCHER V2.8, 15-MAR-1993

* Added support for having just forced exits of user-mode images, instead
  of process deletion or terminal disconnection.

* WATCH_DEFAULT settings are now saved in the configuration database,
  and so are retained between WCP sessions.

* Fixed the lock-down of the disconnect code on AXP systems to include
  the linkage as well as the code section.

WATCHER V2.7 for AXP systems, 14-OCT-1992

* Ported WATCHER to OpenVMS AXP T1.0 FT4.  Everything (including the
  terminal disconnect code and DECwindows support) has been tested and
  appears to function correctly.
