[XNTPD seems to be _the_ free implementation of the Internet 'network time protocol', RFC 1305]. Stand-alone kits for VMS (this time, including documentation) are at ftp.gwdg.de: pub/vms/xntp3.4v.VMS.README pub/vms/xntp3.4v.VMS.zip pub/vms/xntp3.4v.VMS.tar.Z and gwdw04.gwdg.de: VMS/XNTP3_4V_VMS.README VMS/XNTP3_4V_VMS.ZIP VMS/XNTP3_4V_VMS.TAR_Z The differences to the original version (xntp3.4v from louie.udel.edu) are also there, as "add-on" kits for those that happen to have picked up that particular release, and I'm hopeful that they'll make their way into future "official" releases of `xntp'. BTW, the latest version of UCX allegedly also has an NTP client. I'm not claiming that XNTPD is any better (didn't try out UCX V3.3 yet) - free software has some merits of its own ... Wolfgang J.
