If it was an 'a' variant you will require a supported graphics card but you may well find (as I did) that there is already a KZPBA & cache module present. You may also not require a SCSI CD-ROM. With early motherboards you cannot boot from the IDE CD-ROM but can access it after VMS is running. Provided that you have some other mechanism for installing/upgrading VMS you can still live with it e.g. external CD-ROM or boot as satellite & copy CD to spare disk. Incidentally 5) caused be a lot of concern as to where I would find one it's relatively easy to scrounge up a SCSI or graphics card I wasn't even sure what a 'Speed button' was.
