Here's the relevant bits from my smb.conf [global] printing = bsd printcap name = /samba_root/lib/dummyprintcap.dat load printers = yes status = yes print command = print %f./queue=%p/delete/passall/name="""""%f""""" lprm command = delete/entry=%j [printers] comment = All Printers path = /phonon_disc4/sambatmp/spool browseable = no printable = yes ; public = no public = yes writable = no create mode = 0700 And dummyprintcap.dat contains KYO1|KYO1|KYO1| LASER|LASER|LASER| LASER_20C|LASER_20C|LASER_20C| LASER_28C|LASER_28C|LASER_28C| LASER_2P|LASER_2P|LASER_2P| etc. ie just the names of the VMS print queues repeated three times separated by vertical bars, one queue per line.
