USE THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE WHEN YOU ARE USING A PC AND GET A NOTICE

"YOUR PASSWORD WILL EXPIRE IN n DAYS"

THINSTARS are the same as PC'S, follow the same procedures no matter which you use. During the password change, you will be shown a list of all of the VMS CHAR1, CHAR2, CHAR3, SEV1 and TOC1 usernames that are registered under your domain username. These are the logon names that will all be changed to have the same password. If any of your usernames are missing from the registered list, send an email to security@coats.com to have the additional usernames added to the registered list.

Change your domain and VMS passwords:

• Open Netscape . Make sure you are on the COATS NORTH AMERICA HOME PAGE.
  Location: http://char1.cna.coats.com/

• Click on CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD !

• Put in your PC username. CLICK [TAB]
• Put in your PC password. CLICK [OK]

  NOTE: you should now see Change Password Network-wide

• Choose a password from the list on this page.

  NOTE: If you don't like any of these passwords. Click on the RELOAD tab, top of screen.

• TYPE new password in New Password box. Tab down !
• TYPE same password in Confirm box.

• USE MOUSE TO CLICK ON "Execute Password Change"

  NOTE: This will not change your CCMAIL or NOTES MAIL password.

After you complete the above commands you must log off of all Powerterm windows, exit from all pc applications and then log off your PC. You do not need to power your system off. Then log back on using your new password. Once you are logged on, change your email password to match your new PC password!

To reset your notes mail password:

• Open notes mail. Make sure you are on the welcome page.

• Click on FILE, TOOLS, USER ID. LEFT CLICK MOUSE BUTTON.

• Enter your notes password. CLICK [OK]

• Click [SET PASSWORD]

• Enter your notes password. CLICK [OK]

• Enter your new password. CLICK [OK]

  NOTE: Use the same password you got from the Execute Password Change.

• Enter your new password again for verification. CLICK [OK]
