You have the latest drivers, and server fixes, and CDE now works fine. But the old volume-only Motif "hack" does not. The only solution that I can think of offhand is to use: $ @decw$utils:decw$define_utils $ xset b 1 100 100 Where the first number is the volume, the second is the pitch and the third the duration.
