System Requirements

The EMERALD eXpert-BSM Monitor requires a Sun Microsystems Sparc platform running one of SunOS 5.5.1 (Solaris 2.5.1), SunOS 5.6 (Solaris 2.6) with service patch 105621-19, Solaris 7 with service patch 106541-10, or Solaris 8.

The EMERALD eXpert-BSM monitor generally consumes around 5-12 MB of process space. We recommend running eXpert-BSM on machines with 64 MB or more of memory and 20 MB or more local disk space available. For more information on expected process growth, refer to the eXpert-BSM FAQ.
