If the host is not *.vsm.com.au then you are using a mirror site. If problems are experienced downloading large archives over slowish links via http://wasd.vsm.com.au/wasd/, or you know your link is usually fairly slow, it is recommended to use FTP via   ftp.vsm.com.au, or a mirror site more local to your area (remembering these are sometimes up to 24 hours behind the primary site). The wasd.vsm.com.au HTTP server is set with a sixty minute timeout on connections!

Like to establish the integrity of your package?
Check it's MD5 digest against that in this list.
WASD has it's own MD5 digestor but here is a stand-alone one if required.

Archives in this directory have been generated with a VMS ZIPper.
You need at least version 5.2, check: $ UNZIP -h

SSL Package
With the advent of good OpenSSL development VMS support (thanks Richard Levitte) WASD now only needs to offer a "small" package, enough to get an SSL version of WASD and running. For a full OpenSSL toolkit refer to http://www.openssl.org/.
Some mirror sites will not contain the SSL packages due to local export/import/patent restriction, or other reasons. If your mirror site does not appear to contain the SSL components please try one in Europe or the main WASD distribution site.

This is a update to the kit released on 7th June.  VAX and OSU should now work!!  SWISH-E indexing is an order of magnitude FASTER!  SWISHesi has had some (more) enhancements.
SWISH-Enhanced is a fast, powerful, flexible, free, and easy to use system for indexing collections of Web pages or other text files.  See http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/SWISH-E/ for further detail.  This pre-release package includes SWISHesi CGI interface for searching.  Should be suitable for WASD, OSU, CSWS V1.0-1 (Apache), Purveyor.  Requires DECC 6.n and MMS/MMK to build (compile+link), however pre-built object modules and library suitable for VMS 7.n are provided.  Browse source tree at http://wasd.vsm.com.au/ht_root/src/swish/, local demonstration now available via swishesi/index_doc.html, working index at http://StarLet.DeltaTel.RU/.  VMS Port: Jean-François Piéronne (jfp@altavista.net).
