Description: Samba-TNG common files
Samba-TNG is a fork of the Samba codebase whose goal is to provide the
complete functionality of a Windows NT domain controller. Like Samba,
Samba-TNG can also act as a file and print server for LanManager
clients such as MS-DOS, OS/2, MS-Windows, Windows NT and Windows 2000,
and as a WINS (Windows Internet Name Service) server.
 .
This is needed by both the client and server portions of Samba-TNG.
 .
NOTE: If you want to install Samba and Samba-TNG simultaneously, use
the 'samba-tng-dual' package instead of this one.

Description: Dual Samba + Samba-TNG setup (common files)
Samba-TNG is a fork of the Samba codebase whose goal is to provide the
complete functionality of a Windows NT domain controller. Like Samba,
Samba-TNG can also act as a file and print server for LanManager
clients such as MS-DOS, OS/2, MS-Windows, Windows NT and Windows 2000,
and as a WINS (Windows Internet Name Service) server.
 .
This is needed if you want to set up "Dual Sambas" - that is, Samba
and Samba-TNG on a single machine. Typically, Samba-TNG is used for
its domain controller services and Samba for its file/print sharing.
 .
For instructions on how to set this up (this package does *not* do
everything for you!), see /usr/share/doc/samba-tng-dual/README.Debian .

Description: A Windows file/print server and NT domain controller for Unix
Samba-TNG is a fork of the Samba codebase whose goal is to provide the
complete functionality of a Windows NT domain controller. Like Samba,
Samba-TNG can also act as a file and print server for LanManager
clients such as MS-DOS, OS/2, MS-Windows, Windows NT and Windows 2000,
and as a WINS (Windows Internet Name Service) server.
 .
This is the server portion of Samba-TNG. See 'samba-tng-clients' for
 the client programs.
 .
Samba-TNG, while stable for many people, is not considered production
code at this time. Some features do not work correctly, and others
may not work at all. For this reason, if you only need a file/print
server (i.e. not the domain controller), you should probably use the
 'samba' package instead.

Description: Client programs for Samba-TNG and Windows networking
Samba-TNG is a fork of the Samba codebase whose goal is to provide the
complete functionality of a Windows NT domain controller. Like Samba,
Samba-TNG can also act as a file and print server for LanManager
clients such as MS-DOS, OS/2, MS-Windows, Windows NT and Windows 2000,
and as a WINS (Windows Internet Name Service) server.
 .
This is a set of client programs for interacting with Samba-TNG,
Windows NT and other SMB- and MSRPC-based servers.

Description: Samba-TNG documentation
Samba-TNG is a fork of the Samba codebase whose goal is to provide the
complete functionality of a Windows NT domain controller. Like Samba,
Samba-TNG can also act as a file and print server for LanManager
clients such as MS-DOS, OS/2, MS-Windows, Windows NT and Windows 2000,
and as a WINS (Windows Internet Name Service) server.

This is the bulk of the Samba-TNG documentation.

Description: Samba-TNG PAM/NSS modules
Samba-TNG is a fork of the Samba codebase whose goal is to provide the
complete functionality of a Windows NT domain controller. Like Samba,
Samba-TNG can also act as a file and print server for LanManager
clients such as MS-DOS, OS/2, MS-Windows, Windows NT and Windows 2000,
and as a WINS (Windows Internet Name Service) server.
 .
winbind is a suite of tools to integrate your Debian box in an NT
network and use the user/group databases of an NT domain controller.
 .
This package contains the needed tools (winbindd daemon, wbinfo
information tool, PAM and NSS modules), but nothing is configured
 or used by default.
