It needs to be real (true) parity, fast page mode, 60-70 ns speed. They are installed in pairs on most Alpha's. I bought mine at www.kahlon.com - you might look at their models: KAH4X36-60 - 16 mb currently $9 (2 of these = 32mb) KAH8X36-60 - 32mb currently $16 (2 of these = 64mb) KAH16X36-60 - 64 mb currently $32 (2 of these = 128mb) You can also use their "select by manufacturer" section and see several models of ram listed for this exact computer under "Digital". Prices are different because they are selling kits of TWO on this page. They show 384 mb as the maximum supported by this box. KDEC77C - 32 mb, currently $16.00 KDEC77D - 64 mb, currently $29.50 KAH1208 - 128 mb, currently $56.00 As you can see, they are slightly cheaper here in kits. I do not work with or have any relationship with Kahlon other than having bought memory from them several times and never having had any problem with them or their products. I've also used this memory in a Multia (UDB) and an AlphaServer 1000A. Regards, Stuart Johnson
