The InfoServer client code under VMS is now owned by VMS Sustaining Engineering and they're not real keen on doing much more than fixing bugs. There's no doubt that adding a /SERVICE_CLASS qualifier to LADCP would be the best solution but even when InfoServer Engineering owned the code it was deemed too difficult for the return. {When LADCP was written, there was no "client" side - it was server only for PATHWORKS.} That's the reason I added the code for propgation of ISO-9660 CDs to the ODS-2 namespace. That was something I could touch. In truth, it's a hack and it does somewhat defeat the whole namespace concept (which should let you know what the true file system is on the remote device) but it's a decision I made and there was no one to tell me I couldn't. ;-) The current version of the InfoServer software is V3.4. I'd recommend upgrading to at least V3.3 and V3.4 when you get your hands on it. --Doug -- Doug Gordon gordon@star.enet.dec.com No longer the InfoServer Dude Anything resembling an opinion Digital Equipment Corporation is mine and not Digital's. **************** Never light a candle carelessly, and be sure you know what you're doing when you blow one out. ****************
