Downloading VMS versions of AscToTab This software is free to VMS users, as is it's big brother AscToHTM. The following downloads contain .EXE's, so there is a possability of ident mismatches. Later we may provide a build kit and NOSHARE versions. If this causes problems, send mail to jaf@yrl.co.uk Note: This software requires the C++ shareable library installed to run. The downloads include documentation in the form of a single HTML file and the text it was generated from. Some of these files (especially those that contain .EXE's) have been PGP signed should you wish to authenticate that they are as originally posted by me. (See PGP security for details) Download kits * Download the Vax version 1.0 (100k). This version requires libraries from VMS 6.1 or later. * Download the Aplha version 1.0 (125k). This version assumes VMS 6.2 or later. Problems If you experience any problems using these files, send us details, and we'll try to help you out. Problems are most likely to occur due to ident mismatches. Either you have an earlier version of VMS or an earlier version of some shareable library. We've tried to use the oldest systems we have, but unfortunately (!) our systems are reasonably up to date. Versions not linked against shareable libraries exist (or can be made), but they are 4-5 times larger. As for any problems using the software, or with the conversions that result, we welcome any comments, fault reports or suggestions for improvements, although the time available for responding to such comments is sometimes limited. Other free VMS software Related to AsctoTab is AscToHTM, a more general text to HTML conversion program that will include AscToTab in the near future. This too is free to VMS users (available as shareware to Windows users) Yezerski Roper have many experienced VMS programmers, and wish to have an active presence in the VMS world. As such we try to offer other free VMS software wherever we can. Of course, should you wish to pay us to write some for you, we're open to offers. You can browse our main page though it's still under construction (but then whose isn't :) Cheers, JAF ------------------------------------------------------------------------ For more information contact Yezerski Roper Go to JAF's home page or AscToTab page or Yezerski Roper Last modified: 12-Dec-1997
