Hi !

Some months ago I posted a question here regarding a problem with
a Sony MOD which gave up after upgrading a 3100 from 6.2 to 7.1
("medium offline" error on $INIT or $MOUNT). According to rumours
the following may be of some interest for some of you.

The problem is solved now ! 
Sony MODs (and probably other devices having similar problems after
upgrading) can be brought back to life again under VMS 7.1

In the meantime I managed to get hold of several source code versions 
(5.x-7.1) of DKDRIVER.MAR and other source code files involded with this
matter. I finally managed to build a driver for the MOD which peacefully
coexists with DKDRIVER. 
Some more or less simple SYSGEN operations are required to make use 
of the driver. If anybody is interested in this driver and some 
related advice, just drop me a line at the address shown below 
(I don't read the articles here on a regular basis).

Thanks to Glenn Everhart for providing basic data and especially to
Wolfgang Moeller who showed extreme patience with a non-MACRO person
permanently asking for expert advice.
