Computing Model Assessment

   * Existing system architectures have served us well: Clusters, SMP and
     MPP computing

   * Very Large scale multi-cpu systems are on the horizon (dozens of CPUs,
     terabytes of memory...)

   * Limitations to future OS development with current system architectures:
        o CLUSTERS: Lack of shared memory and interconnect bandwidth
        o SMP: Software scalability and single system view
        o MPP: Limited application applicability
