If you want to print from a VMS host to a printer connected to a terminal server via TELNET, enter: $ TELNET/CREATE [] where is the hostname (or IP address) of the terminal server, is the IP port number of the TELNET listener (Digital servers) or previously created local TELNET service (Emulex, Xyplex) and is the optional unit number of the resultant TNAx: device. For example: $ TELNET/CREATE es4print 8002 22 will establish a TELNET connection to server es4print on port 8002. The resultant terminal device is named TNA22:. If you omit the unit number, the next available number is selected. To break the connection and delete the TNA device, enter: $ TELNET/DELETE Greetings, Ferry -- Ing.
