Newsgroups: comp.os.vms Message-ID: <01bcfaeb$514a1780$0302030a@suzannecastor> X-Newsreader: Microsoft Internet News 4.70.1155 Lines: 23 Date: Thu, 27 Nov 1997 04:15:48 GMT NNTP-Posting-Host: ts26-04.vcr.istar.ca NNTP-Posting-Date: Wed, 26 Nov 1997 23:15:48 EST I tried changing a terminal server (DS700) from LAT to TELNET and the printer stopped advancing the paper after a line was printed. My INIT line in OpenVMS V6.2 reads: $ INITIALIZE /QUEUE TEST - /START - /ON="10.3.4.0:2001" - /PROCESSOR=UCX$TELNETSYM - /FORM=DEFAULT - /DEFAULT=FEED - /RETAIN=ERROR I setup the telnet listener on 10.3.4.0 like: CHA TELNET LISTENER 2001 PORT 8 CHA TELNET LISTENER 2001 CONNECTIONS ENABLED With just this the printer rarely did Line feeds. What I did to correct this was: CHA PO 8 TELNET SERVER NEWLINE TO HOST NONE CHA PO 8 TELNET SERVER NEWLINE FROM TERM NONE Now while this gets the printer working (Its a DEC LA30W, btw) it doesn't do formfeeds at the end of the job, even with the /feed parameter. I think I'm missing something, so can anybody enlighten me? Thanks! Brian Buchanan
