The PWS support in V7.1-1H1 is "latent". That is, we do not officially support it, but the engineering work for the base hardware was complete and placed onto the kit, pending qualification. VMS and Digital UNIX will only run on the universal varients, and is not sold for use on the NT-only versions (the console will also prevent it on some platforms). The PWS went thru a number of changes since work began on it, including a new ISA bridge chip, and the use of an embedded ATAPI CD ROM. Product management/Marketing will announce support for new systems when they are ready and available for sale with VMS support. -- Frederick G.
